Terms and Conditions

Cancellations: All bookings are non-refundable. Where more than 72 hours’ notice before the booked date is received we will be happy to reschedule your booking to a future date if we are able to fill your places.

Where less than 72 hours’ notice is given the booking will be non-refundable and non-transferable. This reflects the fact that our axe throwing sessions are held to raise funds to continue our community support work and it is therefore important that sessions are well attended.

For gift voucher bookings, please refer to the gift voucher terms and conditions.

Adverse weather: We plan to continue our axe throwing sessions year-round, however, in the event of weather conditions making it impossible or unsafe to access our site, anyone with a booking will be offered an alternative date.

Behaviour: Any participant may be refused access or asked to leave at any time if Instructors consider that their behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others. No refunds will be given under these circumstances.

Fitness to Throw: All participants will be asked to sign a statement to confirm their fitness to participate in the activity, in line with the requirements of our insurance.

Appropriate clothing: Participants must not wear loose clothing or jewellery and must attend in closed-toe shoes. Long hair should be tied back.

Alcohol / drugs: No alcohol or drugs are permitted on site, and throwers must not be under the influence of substances. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if we consider them unfit to throw.

Spectators: We do not have facilities for spectators and we therefore ask that only the people booked on to the session attend. Our site is not specifically set up for children, and therefore the only children permitted on site are junior throwers booked on to a session with a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian of any child attending the site is fully responsible for their safety at all times.

Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions

Validity: Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase.

Activities must be booked and taken before the expiry date. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book the activity well in advance, since places on each workshop are limited.

Voucher number must be quoted on booking and the voucher must be presented on arrival for your workshop.

Availability: All activities must be pre-booked and are subject to availability. Valkyrie Wilderness Workshops reserves the right to withdraw an activity for safety reasons or due to staff availability at any time.

Extension of vouchers: Should you be unable to use your voucher before the expiry date we may be able to extend the expiry period, for a small fee, provided that you make contact before the voucher expires.

Cancellations: If you are unable to attend after making a booking with your voucher, we may be unable to rearrange. In the event of us receiving at least one weeks' notice of a request to reschedule we will endeavour to accommodate the request. We make no guarantee to do so, reflecting the fact that our axe throwing sessions are held to raise funds to continue our community support work and it is therefore important that sessions are well attended.

Vouchers are sent by the purchaser's choice of postal service. We accept no responsibility for any loss or delay once the voucher has been handed to Royal Mail. Vouchers are invalid if tampered with or defaced in any way. We accept no responsibility for lost or stolen vouchers.

Valkyrie Wilderness Workshops reserves the right to alter, change and/or add to the terms and conditions of any voucher at any time without notifying prior purchasers.

Vouchers must be redeemed in full at a single visit and have no cash redemption value.
